Palace on Top, Art Center at Bottom

While in Udaipur, we visited a palace on a mountain built by a queen when she felt like taking a breather from her husband. The view was insane, but gave me a slight bout of vertigo. Fed a monkey till he slapped my palm when there was no more. At the bottom of the mountain, there was an art school where incredibly talented painters created scenes in traditional style. I was fortunate to have a mini conversation with an artist that gave me a briefing on the process and the natural tools used: cobalt, sulfur, red oxide, zinc oxide, graphite, and 24 carat gold- melted with oil and water.
